Iceland Summit 2021

This trip exceeded all expectations. We were a small crew, but we saw amazing things. The aurora was shy but came out one night so that our cameras could capture it. We were saddened by a pod of stranded whales. See my short film for more info on that tragic event. We had some crazy weather, but also beautiful days to make photographs. I worked quite a bit with very long daytime exposures using ND filters, creating dreamy images that compress time. I also put the drone to good use and made stills and videos I am very happy with. With my 85mm Minolta Vari-soft lens, I made some wonderful, glowing images with that amazing chunk of glass. All in all, a successful journey.
